Responsibilities:• Assessing the current infrastructure, applications, and data to develop a comprehensive migration plan using discovery and assessment tools.• Creating a Migration strategy/Migration runbok that includes risk assessment, timelines of the program.• Attending operation incident review, CAB call for change discussions.• Performing data migration, including NFS/CIFS data transfer, data integrity validation, and database migration, server replication.• Creation of NFS & CIFS partition on GCP Filestore, Netapp Volume for storage migration.• Migrating applications, including rehosting, refactoring, rearchitecting, or rebuilding as necessary.• Developing and implementing automation shell scripts and tools for efficient and repeatable migration processes for pre-post checks, installation & uninstallation.• Utilizing cloud migration tools and platforms to streamline the migration process.• Performing performance testing, load testing, and security testing on the migrated environment.• Implementing security best practices and controls in the cloud environment.• Documenting migration processes, procedures, and configurations.• Providing training and support to internal teams to manage and operate the new cloud environment.• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, IT operations, and security teams.• Communicating progress, challenges and results to stakeholders and management.• Providing post-migration support to address any issues and ensure a smooth transition to the cloud.• Updating DNS entries in Men & Mice and QIP for migrated server name resolution.• Establishing backup policies in GCP's Backup & DR and adding servers for backup.
