The Isivivana Centre is owned and managed by the Khayelitsha Youth & Community Centre (KYCC) Trust. The Beneficiaries are a few specifically identified social justice organisations, which were previously funded by the Atlantic Philanthropies. The Trust is a registered Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) and its Trust Deed requires that all Beneficiaries must also be PBOs.Isivivana Centre is a social justice and community centre in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, South Africa.The Ground Floor has the following facilities:- Library- Cinema- Hall- Classroom- Restaurant (Café Isivivana)- Outdoor AmphitheatreThe Cinema, Hall and Classroom can be booked as self-contained venues through the centre management. The top three floors are office spaces for community and social justice organisations that are registered PBOs. The centre runs a regular film-screening program which is open to the public.

The objectives of the Committee include:• To influence and assist stakeholders with, and advise on, critical issues relating to the setting of standards, guidance and practices in the following areas, relating to the public sector:o Legislation (development and implementation);o Accounting standards (influencing the setting and implementation);o Auditing standards (influencing the setting and implementation);o Public financial management, including internal control systems and risk management;o Sound corporate governance in the public sector, including ethical conduct, oversight bodies, audit committees;o Internal and external auditing; ando Predetermined objectives reporting and auditing.• The aim is to promote high quality standards, guidance, practices and legislation in the public sector.• To prepare and submit on behalf of SAICA members and associates, on a timely basis, meaningful and valuable comments that are technically correct on standards, guidance and practices or on any other discussion documents prepared by stakeholders, that have an impact in the public sector, taking the views of members into consideration.• To contribute thought leadership material within the public sector through articles and media releases, among other means. • To encourage, through the appropriate committees of SAICA, CAs (SA) to pursue careers in the public sector.

• Provide leadership to the finance department by ensuring that it has a strategy that is aligned to the Western Cape Liquor Authority’s (WCLA) corporate strategy and leads the implementation of the strategy.• Play a key role in the continued development and implementation of the strategic objectives of the entity and provide direction and leadership towards their achievement.• Ensure high standards of Corporate Governance and manage control of the financial and governance risk of the entity.• Formulate WCLA’s financial policies, procedures and systems aimed at building efficient and effective business administration.• Ensure full implementation and adherence to the approved financial policies.• Coordinate the budget activities of all departments at WCLA.• Sound management of financial resources and reporting in line with WCLA’s policies, provincial and national legislation.• Manage engagements with assurance providers (for example, risk and audit), including, responding to matters raised• Ensuring that banking facilities are sufficient and up to date on a yearly basis.• Promote sound interpersonal relations and open and honest communication across the board in order to create conditions that are conducive for all employees in the finance department to reach their full potential and to contribute to the finance department’s and WCLA’s strategic objectives.• Oversee the reporting of financial results and information required • Facilitate the preparation of GRAP compliant annual financial statements and other mandatory financial management reports
