In this position I was part of one of the teams creating roadmap package updates for the company's navigation software, Igo. I worked closely together with quality assurance collegues for bugfixes and problem prevention, so I am familiar with testing procedures and methods.Worked with converting raw data into the correct formats for the software.I gained experience in configurating files for conversion (ini files), managing raw data in SQL, and GIS softwares like QGIS and MapInfo, working with Python based internal tools.Core parts of the work included reading and understanding internal documentation and changes to the base data, configuring items accordingly; finding root causes for problems in conversion, understanding and checking data in large SQL databases when needed, and writing queries, understanding and working with XML and CSV based geographical data.
