LGL: I am overseeing a database project using Little Green Light (LGL) to manage contact information for 134 schools within the network. Initially focused on board members, but have since expanded to include comprehensive school information. To improve communication effectiveness, I am tackling email bounce-backs and failures. Key strategies include data validation, regular updates, automated verification, segmentation, establishing a feedback loop, tracking engagement metrics, and ensuring staff training and documentation. My goal is to streamline processes and enhance communication accuracy across the network.Board Training: Spearheaded the April 2023 launch of the comprehensive "Board Training" system, facilitating an in-house approach. Managed website layout, certificate automation, quizzes, and video editing. Handle end-to-end communication with board members, guide module purchases, and orchestrate the seamless distribution of invites, surveys, and follow-up emails.Business Partnerships at INCS: As the primary contact for our partnership initiatives, I forge connections between businesses and our 134 charter schools, showcasing them on our dedicated Business Partnership site: https://partners.incschools.org/. I curate monthly newsletters, spotlighting new offerings from partners and directing inquiries to our preferred vendors and services. Proactively seek and engage sponsors for various events, ensuring alignment with each occasion.Resume Bank & Job Board: Steer the weekly update and listing of jobs on the charter school job board. Oversee the Resume Bank, housing 300+ candidates, and facilitate monthly communications with candidates and recruiters. Encourage and manage new additions to the Resume Bank for expanded opportunities.

300 hours completed.During my internship at the Madison Police Department, I gained valuable insights into handling emergency calls, understanding call protocols, and navigating the intricacies of booking procedures. The day-to-day ride-alongs with police officers exposed me to the fast-paced environment, where I learned to be proactive, prepared for any situation, and demonstrated adaptability.As the first intern to hold this position, I had extensive ride-along experiences, surpassing those of any previous intern. This unique opportunity allowed me to contribute effectively to the police department while gaining an incredible learning experience.I also showcased my language skills by being available for Spanish translation when needed, filling a crucial role within the department.Additionally, I spearheaded a project for the Community Policing Team (CPT) involving the testing and evaluation of three different ID scanners. I meticulously recorded results from fake and real IDs, utilizing popular city bar scanners and a mobile app. Through my work, I identified the app as the most effective due to its ease, portability, and a remarkable 90% accuracy rate in identifying fake and real IDs. Leveraging the MPD system, I cross-verified the IDs and scanners, managing about 50 IDs in a three-day project and maintaining detailed data on an Excel spreadsheet.

Summers 2016 and 2017The students in the program are rising seniors in high school from Pritzker College Prep and Noble Academy in Chicago.2016: First time counselor, but a student of the program in 2013. 1/4 counselors in the program.Responsible for 30 high school students living in residence halls at the university for 6 weeks living along with them. Being there for them, helping them with homework, teaching them during study hall every night, making sure they are following the rules, and staying safe. Study halls are for going over their lessons learned in class and making sure they understand the concepts or answering their questions if they are confused. Taking care of them during excursions when we were away from campus. Helping them through home sickness.2017: Head counselor of the programIn charge of 32 high school students and the 3 other counselors for 6 weeks.Same responsibilities as 2016, but now I had to lead study halls- inform the other counselors what to do during study halls and pick out the lessons of the day. Making sure students with medications were taking them each morning and afternoon. Helping counselors when they were confused with a task or rule.Talk with the teachers about the students. Creating events with other programs in the building, so students could branch out and meet other students.

Professor David Bethea from the Slavic Department at the University of Wisconsin- Madison hired me on a project to help the high school student within the program on Russian language classes, on how to apply to college, and how to attend the summer intensive 6- week program on campus and in away Latvia. I built and present the presentation to eligible and interested students. I encourage them to apply and go abroad. This is a free program for them. As a former student from the program it is important to me they know what good this can be on their resume and in life.
