As a Community Assistant at the University of Mississippi, I support the academic and social development of over 600 students living in the residence halls. I facilitate programs, events, and activities that foster a sense of community, diversity, and inclusion. I also assist with administrative tasks, crisis management, and policy enforcement. I have been working in this role for over a year and a half, while pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. In addition, I completed a four-month internship at Abbott, where I participated in research and development projects related to medical devices, diagnostics, and therapeutics. I gained valuable skills in conducting experiments, analyzing data, and presenting results. I am passionate about applying my engineering knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems and improve human health. I am eager to learn from experts, collaborate with peers, and contribute to the advancement of the biomedical field.
