As the Founder and CEO of my firm, Sandra Barnhill and Associates, I am honored to say that we have 30+ years in the nonprofit field working at the highest levels of executive leadership. Associates have experience in program development and implementation, training and coaching junior staff, raising an annual operating budget, and managing the day-to-day.

In 1987, I quit practicing law and created a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit AIM(Aid to Children of Imprisoned Mothers, now Foreverfamily) that works with children and families of the incarcerated..Foreverfamily ensures that, no matter what the circumstances, all children can be surrounded by the love of family. The agency focuses its efforts on some of the most.

After founding the organization, I became its chief executive giving leadership to programs and services for over three decades. Along with the Board of Directors and the support of volunteers and donors, we developed an agency that is recognized nationally and internationally for its youth development and family-strengthening approach to parental.

Worked with nonprofits and faith-based organizations to build their internal capacity. Facilitated strategic planning sessions for agencies, created 3 year strategic plans with action steps. Delivered board development training sessions.

Served as a staff attorney for the nonprofit legal group during the early years when it was called Southern Prisoners Defense Committee (SPDC). Along with a senior attorney brought the first suit in the south challenging conditions of confinement for women prisoners. My focus areas were class action litigation and appellate level challenges seeking.
