Responsible for planning, coordinating, marketing and evaluation of educational opportunities for over 5000 hospital personnel, facilitating the operations of five major Army Medical Department-affiliated nursing programs. Supports the Chief of Education with the management of department personnel to include hiring actions, budgeting, personnel activities, schedule and space allocation. Oversight of Nurse Summer Training Program and assists staff members in the pursuit of higher education. As a certified Arbinger facilitator for the Army Medical Department, assists with the organizational development of Madigan Army Medical Center in its journey towards becoming a high-reliability organization.

Responsible for oversight of all ROTC nursing programs in the western half of the United States as well as the Chief Nursing Officer for Cadet Summer Training which is the largest Army training exercise in the world.

Served as executive staff officer for the Department of Nursing in the DoD's largest hospital: a 425-bed burn and level 1 trauma regional medical center serving a 225,000 beneficiary population. Provided nursing management recommendations in support of health care delivery operations for a department of over 2000 staff members and a $38M operating budget. Conducted substantial problem analysis integrating multiple-source data into a viable decision-making product. Provided consultation for projects to address organizational issues impacting staff to include training, patient care delivery, and policy management. Collaborated with multiple departments in the execution and management of memorandums of understanding.

Responsible for the collaborative management of a 50-bed intermediate care ward of a combined US/UK/Danish combat hospital tasked to provide medical support and trauma care to over 54,000 coalition forces in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Planned, directed, coordinated, and evaluated comprehensive coalition nursing care for a combined adult and pediatric trauma population with an average daily census of 25 patients. Counseled and evaluated job performance for 13 US nursing personnel.

Oversight and management of the Army's Clinical Nurse Transition Program which is a 6-month residency program that develops and orients new Army nurses and bridges the gap from academia to practicing nurse by cultivating leadership and clinical skills.

Responsible for Army active duty and reserves medical recruiting operations for the State of North Carolina.
