After almost 20 years in the floristry industry as an employee, shop owner and teacher at Canberra CIT my family and I moved to Melbourne (Kilmore) to be closer to extended family.The year before the move I was employed as the Personal Assistant to the Shadow Minister of Health and Housing within the ACT Legislative Assembly. It was a great privilege to work with the people of the ACT. It was a demanding, yet humbling job. Every day I was faced with different challengers both administrative and constituent based.I have worked at Seymour Medical Clinic for the last ten years, with the last four years as Practice Manger. My job included all aspect of Practice Management. I performed the many administrative tasks involved in a busy Practice. In that time the Clinic went through two AGPAL accreditation's, both of these with a successful result. The Practice has approximately nine GP's on staff, a team of nurses and reception staff. I had a special interest in becoming proactive with the Indigenous community of Seymour and the greater Seymour area. I was honored to work along side a group of dynamic and forward thinking doctors, nurses and administrative staff and being a part of the Seymour community. In the last twelve months I attended training as a LAC within the NDIS framework. During this time I visited Participants and reported to the NDIA with supervision from the team manager and contact with NDIA delegates.In the later part of last year I was employed as casual administrative staff to help the Support Coordinator at Goulburn Options in Seymour Victoria. This involved general administrative tasks as well as reporting to the NDIA with eight week and 12 monthly reporting.
