Since completing a Bachelor of Commerce in 2002 Sandra has worked through the hierarchy to become a Director of a medium size company that has strong brand presence within the wine industry. Along the way she has demonstrated entrepreneurial abilities in a range of operational initiatives and business strategies which have made Pepper Tree Wines a more profitable business. Key achievements include the implementation of a co-government funded large solar plant to help reduce operating costs and minimise the carbon footprint of the business.Using her experience, she has consulted to two small to medium size wineries which included revitalising a small winery and nurturing it to become an iconic destination within the Hunter area. She has helped position the Hunter Valley as a regional tourist destination and is an active member of the Hunter Valley business community.In 2010 Sandra was bestowed the honour of becoming a finalist in the Newcastle University Alumni Award for Regional Leadership.
