Led a research project to identify FDA approved drugs degrading MLL-fusion proteins in Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) using molecular and cellular biology techniques. Developed expertise in molecular/cellular biology and in haemato-oncology. Thesis title: “Drug induced degradation of driver proteins: a novel approach to target MLL-fusions”. Main responsabilities and achievements:• Developed high throughput drug screening platform for inhibition of MLL fusion proteins and selection of positive hits for drug discovery validation and cellular pathways characterisation• Study led patent application about cancer therapies based on proteolysis induction of MLL fusion proteins.
