The world of education is ever changing, and more opportunities for online learning and Career and Technical Education are emerging for middle and high school students in districts across the nation. Whether in a classroom, or through more personalized independent learning, Sandra Cerny has dedicated her efforts to helping students discover and develop their personal and academic strengths and interests, while working professionally to expand CTE opportunities to more students.As an Online Blended Learning teacher and facilitator for Temecula Valley Unified School District in Temecula, CA, Sandra Cerny brings her years of experience in business, combined with her passion for education to her students and to her professional pursuits. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, English degree from the University of California, Riverside and a Master’s degree in Education, with a focus on curriculum and instruction, from Azusa Pacific University. She currently teaches online courses in English, Spanish, World History, and more recently, online CTE courses in the Business and Finance sector. Sandra has collaborated on English and CTE curriculum writing and alignment teams for TVUSD, and has recently developed a Business Management pathway that is the first CTE course at TVUSD to be delivered completely online. Sandra has participated in WASC accreditation visiting teams, and as a CTE education panelist at the ASSA 2020 National Conference on Education. She is a past recipient of a CTA Institute For Teaching Grant, and was accepted to the 2020 CTE Online Curriculum Writing Institute as a Curriculum Writing Specialist. Sandra looks forward to this writing opportunity, and to future speaking, writing, and presenting opportunities on topics in the areas of education and CTE.
