Central West Region – Director’s Office Oct 2012 – May 2013•Manage and coordinate regional issues across multiple offices and provided overall guidance and direction to the issues management process including the preparation of responses to a full range of requests, prioritizing contentious issues. •Coordinate and carry out regional responses to information requests from the Assistant Deputy Minister, and Minister.•Work with ministry staff to frame appropriate responses for contentious issues through the use of house/briefing notes, media requests and other documents.•Provide quality assurance and monitored service by reviewing draft responses for minister and deputy correspondence; ensuring timelines are met; quality of response is consistent with ministry guidelines and knowledge of OCMS process and OPS correspondence protocol•Coordinate FOI requests to appropriate program office to take appropriate action. Ensure program offices adhere to all deadlines and follow-up when required. •Provide WSIB Validation Unit with information pertaining to traumatic workplace fatalities as per sharing agreement.•Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to current policies and procedures and demonstrated ability to apply interpret and apply legislation.•Provide support to the Regional Director in advancing corporate recognition programs•Participate in Regional Management and Program area meetings which include preparing agenda and minute taking.
