    Reporting to the Director, Indigenous Research, I am responsible for supporting Indigenous health initiatives within Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) including strategic planning, policy, education, and research activities. I work closely with the Indigenous Health (IH) team and other VCH leaders on Indigenous health policies, and offer guidance both internally and externally on Indigenous research practices and policies to ensure they are done in partnership and in alignment with Indigenous community and their needs and ethics. I am working with the Indigenous Cultural Safety (ICS) team to develop research-specific training and tools to integrate into the current ICS training. My work is guided by the Indigenous communities VCH serves, as well as my own values and my commitment to truth, reconciliation, decolonization, and Indigenization.

    As part of UBC Okanagan's commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions calls to action and to UNDRIP, I work in the Office of Research Services under the VP Research and Innovation as the Indigenous Community Liaison.
