Analyzed F.A.S.T test scores/diagnostic I-Ready data to ascertain student’s struggles to provide effective intervention strategies for their individual needs. Successfully increased ELA proficiency/learning gains for my Tier 2/3 students. After the F.A.S.T Progress Monitoring Assessment students showed gains in reading comprehension and literacy.

Collaborated with my cooperating teacher (first grade) on designing curriculum-based, hands-on lesson plans that facilitated student academic progress of 16 diverse students using audiovisual aids (including gifted students, ESOL students, and students with IEPs’). Independently and successfully managed a classroom of 16 students using positive behavior strategies and continuous routines to provide structure and establish order. Attended professional development meetings and observed a parent-teacher conference.

Assessed and worked individually with an ESL student to improve their reading comprehension by focusing on their vocabulary, fluency, phonemic awareness, and their spelling using reading intervention strategies. Collaborated with fellow peers in executing a differentiated group instruction plan where we focused and taught five diverse students to increase their reading comprehension levels. Implemented a variety of formative and summative data to drive student instruction.
