Global Payments Inc. One of the largest worldwide providers of payment solutions.Responsible for minimising losses to Global Payments as a result of merchant/cardholder fraud and business failure and chargebacks. This through the implementation of robust policies and procedures whilst ensuring business growth is not stifled. Effectively prioritising a customer portfolio of circa 750 new and existing merchant facilities within my approval authority of £600k (per facility).Identification, escalation and action taken in order to address deteriorating trends evidenced within daily business operation of merchants. Secure and or exit of high risk facilities in order to minimise both Credit and Fraud losses.Providing guidance to both internal and external Sales Departments to aid understanding of Card Acquiring risk exposure and current policies.Maintaining a working knowledge of Visa and Mastercard regulation. Assessment of existing high risk merchants during a Transfer of Risk Project prior to the acquisition of HSBC Merchant Services by Global Payments Inc. Necessary action taken as above with the outcome dependant on the findings for each merchant.Management of a team of lending associates and a migration project from the UK to Manila for the approval of credit applications. Audit and approval of operatives’ authorities, escalation point for sign off outside of the same. Responsible for the review of the Global Credit Policy, processes and procedures, collation of MI and training. During this period my employment was transferred from HSBC Bank PLC to Global Payments in 2009 under a TUPE arrangement.
