While stationed at key interior locations within the museum, my role primarily is to provide information, including way-finding to exhibitions, the museum’s collections, and more to enhance the museum experience to visitors.

Lead groups of participants through a year-long lifestyle change program to reduce the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Provide education, support and guidance to participants using a CDC nationally recognized and approved curriculum to facilitate behavior change and stress management in regards to developing and maintaining healthy eating and physical activity habits. Develop and present webinar and blog content that further enhances and compliments the core curriculum.

The Woodlands, Tx

Implemented the Westin brand’s philosophy of health and wellness. Coordinated group runs for hotel guests. Planned and provided VIP service for guests participating in The Woodlands Marathon and Ironman Texas. Formed partnerships with community retailers and fitness brands to provide additional fitness opportunities and community events. Lead functional movement exercises for various in-house departments. Provided workplace wellness opportunities for corporate meetings/conventions. Promoted Run Westin content via social media. Featured on ABC Houston and Visit The Woodlands.

Coordinated annual Health and Wellness programs for staff at a 12,000-member church. Conducted and lead training workshops on health and wellness and special events for various community groups. Managed, scheduled and reserved facility space for recreational and fitness programs. Selected and negotiated with vendors. Running coach and group fitness instructor for church and community members. Cross-country and track coach for intermediate and middle school students at The Woodlands Methodist School. Administrator for the department’s social media.

Responsible for writing/teaching and producing themes, core curriculum and lessons. Created, budgeted, scheduled, and implemented approximately 40 special events throughout the year. Selected and negotiated with vendors. Implemented and lead mission and fund-raising programs and events to increase both parent and student awareness of local and global issues. Managed a team of assistants and interns.
