Information Referral Specialist
CurrentOperate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.Hear and resolve complaints from customers or the public.File and maintain records.Process and prepare memos, correspondence, travel vouchers, or other documents.Analyze data to determine answers to questions from customers or members of the public.Enroll individuals to participate in programs and notify them of their acceptance.Serve as focal point to incoming calls and class registration Provide I&R services to clients seeking assistance in areas such as financial and family life education, transition assistance, careers and spouse employment, relocation information, family readiness, and all other A&FRC services Issue/receive Loan Locker items Maintain accountability statistics on client-used resources Complete reports and accounting on programs, ensure programs meet USAFE guidelines, establish/recommend changes and manage personnel/data associated with programs Perform administrative duties to include printing, copying/collating, folding, stapling and envelope stuffing/addressing/mailing Create and generate promotional flyers and advertisements for classes/events offeredProvide customer service, outreach, information, resource, and referralsupport in a military settingAble to develop and maintaining local resource information, referral, and follow-up programs.Maintain a database of contact information of assigned Airman and family members in a military settingMaintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships withcivilian and military agencies to facilitate a coordinated response to bothcomplex and ongoing family issues and to advocate for the military family
