Grew up in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, is currently based in the Burgundy region of France working on animation projects for Malaysian-based studio, Giggle Garage. Having worked in the animation industry for over 20 years now, I started out as a 2D animator, storyboard artist and pre-production artist before finding my way into the role of character designer for the animated series, Saladin, for Al-Jazeera Children’s Channel which garnered a nomination for Children & Young People Category at the 39th International Emmy Awards. From there, I took a short stint working as a game designer before finding her way back into 3D animation by continuing to work designing, developing, and directing animated series for both local and international broadcasters such as “Boing the Play Ranger”, “Origanimals”, “Dr Panda”, “The Kazoops” (Netflix), “Cam & Leon” and “Space Nova”. Currently overseeing production and development on new IPs and a new short film for the festival circuit, am also in the midst of producing her own comic title based on my own adventures while living abroad entitled “A Malaysian Artist Abroad” while helping to train more young talents to develop their art skills for the creative industry of their choice. My dream is to create and produce more original content for animation and gaming, hopefully one that will finally see Mark Hamill be the voice talent for one of my own characters, and to help my family create a sustainable agricultural landscape alongside nature whilst living isolated in the French countryside.Behance : https://www.behance.net/SandraKhoo27
