Sandy is a physical therapist with over 25 years of experience, mainly with a focus in outpatient neuro, but also IRF/LTACH, TCU, and SNF. She is a board-certified neurologic specialist and is also LSVT BIG certified and PWR! certified. She has also served as a Visiting Researcher with Boston University, assisting in carrying out research studies that involve therapeutic technology. She has helped countless people return to their previous community activities through coordination of care, case management, and an interdisciplinary team approach. Through her organization, attention to detail, and pursuit of quality and program improvement, Sandy has led her team of colleagues at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital outpatient department to successfully achieve JCAHO Stroke Specialty Certification for 6 years running.
