As a member of the Global Market Development team I work with business partners and customers to develop educational content and seminars to build expertise and promote best practices for Sanger sequencing and fragment analysis applications on capillary electrophoresis instruments.

Pharmaceutical drugs require specific container characterization in order to safely package their product for long term storage and efficacy. SiO2 manufactures Cyclic Olefin Polymer (COP) vials and syringes to specific industry sizes and needs and then coats the interior of the vials and syringes with a proprietary glass coating. As a Senior Applications Scientist I am responsible for coordinating information flow between the pharmaceutical customer and our engineers. I facilitate customer requests for samples, provide assistance in designing tests and study data. Travel to customer sites and product/industry trade shows.

Collaborating with internal and external customers to resolve field based capillary electrophoresis issues. Responsible for training FAS in CE instruments, maintenance, applications and troubleshooting both in the field and in house. Serving as a resource for Product Management, Marketing and Research and Development teams on topics related to CE applications and Instrumentation.

To serve as the face of the company to customer using capillary electrophoresis instruments for the analysis of genetic materials. To serve as the voice of the customer for resolving issues related to instrumentation, analysis software and consumable reagents while coordinating with product management, software developers, field service engineers and other corporate internal resources. Assisting members of the sales team to achieve their yearly goals by providing customers with the latest in product information, discontinuations and improvements and by providing accurate and appropriate sales lead information.
