'De Ontbijtbazen' is the initiative of Jet Nijhuis and Sandra Langenberg to connect, help and inspire small businesses and self-employed professionals in the greater Rotterdam area. With my company Take The Plunge! I help and encourage people of all ages to immerse themselves in the English language in all kinds of ways, thus improving their language skills and boosting their confidence. Take The Plunge! offers conversation groups for adults and private tuition for both adults and youngsters. This includes one-on-one tuition in preparation for school or state exams. Private tuition is also available long-distance via VoIP/video chat (skype).In addition, English language training and CAE/CPE support are provided for subject teachers at bilingual secondary education level as well as for secondary school students as an addition to their regular currriculum. I have successfully arranged and taught customized in-company language trainings for small groups of employees. Furthermore, I help non-native speakers to improve their Dutch speaking skills, both in work and private contexts. This is mostly done one-on-one with English as fall-back language.To stimulate and encourage reading as an important input tool in language acquisition, I have set up English book clubs on 2 levels.Separately, I also currently work as a free-lance trainer/language coach for Improve Your Business English.
