I serve as the Hawai‘i Market Business Leader for The AES Corporation, a long-time provider of low-cost electricity for the islands. Historically, AES has provided 20% of O‘ahu’s electricity needs and is currently involved in several renewable energy projects across the Hawaiian Islands, including over 163.5 MW of wind and solar projects with more than 685 MWh of battery energy storage systems – with new projects in development continuing to facilitate a greener Hawaiʻi. For over 15 years, I have provided counsel, executed critical initiatives and gained extensive experience in external and government affairs, law and regulatory advocacy. I’ve connected with local communities to understand their needs, knowing how critical their voices are in shaping plans we make to achieve a clean energy future for the state. My background in law has informed my unique perspective and work, and outside of the office, I currently serve on the Boys & Girls Club of Maui Board of Directors. I’m incredibly passionate about giving our children a greener future and discovering how we can power our state by harnessing our abundant natural resources – ensuring that the health of our islands and resources remain for years to come.
