About Sandra Light
I have worked in a multitude of different careers over the past 20 years. I have been a hair dresser, which taught me customer service and client care. I have worked at the USPS as a letter carrier, which taught me that I'm tougher than I realized. I have worked as a product engineer at Ford Motor Company in the Ford College Grad program. This taught me leadership, collaboration, confidence, how to communicate with people of all backgrounds, education levels and personalities. I was the main contact for a diagnostic tool launch. I was responsible for communication with our suppliers, field technicians and engineers. I was responsible for keeping timing and status on track. I have worked as a liaison between buyers and IT professionals during the merger of Sears and Kmart. During this time I built a team of customer service technicians. After creating, hiring, training and assembling the team, I was asked to manage the group. I declined as at that time my husband was traveling and I was main care for our small child. Now that I am an empty nester, I am looking for more opportunities to grow, learn and share my skills. After leaving corporate life, I worked with the education system. I have continued my education as a leader, teacher, and trainer. I have fought the toughest battle there is - being a 5th grade math teacher. I love watching people learn and grow.
