As the Manager of the Procurement Group, I am the primary Point of Contact for all Thales Canada Defence & Security staff when Procurement questions arise. As part of a Matrix Organization my team is responsible for Procurement work on all Projects and internal Procurements. My responsibilities include: • Establishing and maintaining business relationships with External and Internal Customers and Suppliers;• Assessing potential and ensuring existing Suppliers are in compliance with Security, Controlled Goods applicable laws, regulations and subcontract terms and conditions;• Determining Contractual Flowdown of Terms and Conditions to Suppliers;• Negotiation of terms with Suppliers to ensure they fall within contract negotiated terms;• Provide leadership and direction in the execution and management of daily Procurement and Warehousing tasks;• Preparation of Basis of Estimates and Justifications for Labour requirements on Bids;

• Our team was responsible for the procurement of all IT equipment, software and services required by most of our Outsourcing Clients and Corporate office.• Collect and prepare data for monthly cost savings and team performance reports• Member of the SAP Implementation Team. Attended brainstorming sessions to provide input for the development of the application to ensure the tools would work in our existing Procurement process.• Developed scripts and organized testing of the different modules and provided feedback prior to roll out, so the team could resolve any issues.• Provided backup to the Senior Regional Manager during absenses from the office.
