I have worked in organization change for over thirty years in large complex organisations in Australia and the UK. I have led change and I have helped others lead and work through change. Change can be confronting for so many and much of my work as an Executive Coach is helping managers and executives understand their role and acquire the skill to be successful in our complex and ever-changing environment.Leadership work is challenging. Formal learning about leadership speaks to the importance of living values, collaboration, leadership styles, developing constructive cultures, having difficult conversations, communicating clearly … on and on. Coaching brings these concepts alive – it helps executives and managers develop the authenticity so many of us long for at work.For the last fifteen years I have focused more and more of my work on one to one coaching for Executives and Managers in the public and private sector. My approach is pragmatic. I ask about the key issues that individuals are facing and work with them to unpack what lies at the root of those issues and what strategies will be useful to help them through. My purpose is to help develop the people I work with to see more clearly where they need to apply their skill and how to apply their skill to be more successful and more satisfied with their working life. My formal qualifications include a Master of Business (Organisational Change & Consulting). This helped me consolidate my practical experience with the most current theoretical underpinnings to my work. I also have a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Politics. I am accredited in Human Synergistics and have had extensive experience applying these tools.I have worked for a number of organisations in the public, private and non-profit areas including: Monash University, ACMI, Melbourne Museum, SCOPE, VicRoads, Dandenong City Council, South Gippsland City Council, ANZ, KPMG, BHP Billiton, Coles Myer, Telstra, Computer Sciences (CSC), Victorian WorkCover Authority, Tennis Australia, CPA Australia, IBAC and Swinburne School of Business Management, Lort Smith, Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, Manningham Council, Whitehorse Council and more.
