About Sandra Mchenry, Md

After several years practicing adult neurology, I made the transition to academia, teaching Anatomy and Physiology to students entering healthcare professions. I love teaching, and this career transition allowed me to use my medical knowledge and clinical background to inform and better prepare our next generation of healthcare professionals.I have since made another move. This time into public health education. I am the Healthy Highlands Program Leader at the Alleghany Highlands YMCA. In this position, I work with other community organizations to improve health and wellness in the Alleghany Highlands. I enjoy helping people realize their full potential, advocating for others, and bringing people together for a cause.
