i am excited to have completed studying my Bachelors in dementia care. i have learned how research is continuuing to discover battles, challenges and areas that can be improved for individuals diagnosed with dementia. I now hope to educate and empower staffs knowledge on understanding this disease, and ensuring quality of life, person centred care, and respect to those in aged care centres.I have studied, diplomas in HR, OHS, Management, WHS and Community services I hold a current TAE 40110, I have completed a Certificate 4 in Mental Health, I will continue searching for short courses to enable me to empower others with further knowledge, within the aged care sector.Aged care is a Challenging and rewarding role that I am truly passionate about, and hope that in the future with changes occurring I will be part of the adjustment for Aged care facilities and staff to be able to address the required changes, and smoothly gain Accreditation without too many bumps along the wayAs an Educator / Clinical Nurse/Facility Manager, and fluent in the accreditation processes, I am able to assist, in a broad sense to the Aged Care areas.
