I am Senior Buyer at Philip Morris SA based in Boksburg, Gauteng. I was previously employed at Simba (Pty) Ltd as Engineering Buyer .My experience includes being an International Buyer at Bell Equipment, and Buyer/ Laboratory Supervisor at Fuchs Lubricants. I am responsible for buying equipment, packaging&chemicals (this is done by studying sales records and inventory levels of current stock) and services for PMSA. The main aim of my job would be comparing costs, quality and service in order to get the best value for PMSA (the highest quality goods and services at the lowest possible cost).Last but not least is planning, organising and scheduling the delivery of goods and services as they are needed. What I find interesting about my job is Identifying foreign and domestic suppliers, and keeping abreast of changes affecting both the supply of, and demand for, needed products and materials.
