Senior Estimator
CurrentReporting directly to the Managing Director, a key role within the organisation & integral to the continued success & growth of the business◆ Team Management• Managing 1 FTE direct report – junior estimator• 360 management – mentorship, performance management etc• Drives compliance of health & safety policies, workflows & regulations◆ Client Relationship Management• Main point of contact for +/-54 active clients• Proactive management of any issues & escalated matters• Oversees large volumes of stock stored on the premises◆ Costing & Production Specialist • End-to-end responsibility for developing cost estimates on routine & complex jobs• Assessing of clients’ needs & examining specifications • Accurate preparation, timely delivery of competitive cost estimates◊ Calculation of unit & production costs◊ Conducting meetings with paper house ◊ Collaboration with the production team, negotiating the existing production schedule to meet the clients’ project timeline ◊ Inspecting product finish & consulting with relevant teams◊ Embedding of consistency through the production process◊ Considers packaging & transportation costs• Managing all aspects of project administration – confirmation of quotes, opening & closing of work tickets, obtaining client sign-off for the accurate colour etc• Collaborating with other project stakeholders to identify workflow impediments & efficiency opportunities• Comparison of final production costs with original estimates, determining final bill & liaison with accounts • Expediting all external print work within agreed timescales & to budget◆ Achievements• Consistently exceeding clients’ expectations by delivering quality, high volume products ◊ Preparation of c. 50 new quotes per day ◊ Accurately opening an average of 15 new work tickets per day◊ Managing the production & delivery of the summer & winter menus for 17 national restaurant chains• Successfully managed the client invoicing function
