I joined Canterbury College as part of the new and groundbreaking Teaching Academy and from then until Easter I was involved in a number of exciting projects, met and observed grade 1 lecturers and coaches who have helped me understand how to develop lesson plans and resources and how to make lessons intersting and challenging. I have also started my Diploma in Teaching in Life Long Learning. I have completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methods with my optional modules being International and Corporate Banking. I am currently completing my dissertation to obtain my MSc Research Methods My dissertation subject is Financial Literacy, I am looking to see if this has improved, remained the same or got worse since the large scale survey carried out in 2006. I am working as NMPH which involves me helping two disabled students attend their course at University. They are both in first year studying Community Education. I work on a 1-2-1 basis with a wheelchair bound student and this is my second academic year working with her. I also take notes for a variety of students both in lectures and also tutorials over a variety of subjects.

I am a volunteer tutor for Adult Literacy and Numeracy within Renfrewshire council. I am involved in 3 sessions a week and work with a number of learners who all have different needs they wish to address. In addition I am in the process of completing a SQA module(Level 8) -Tutoring Adult Literacy. This will develop my skills in working with groups and also developing course proposals, group learning plans and session plans.

I have been working with Marks and Spencer on a part time basis since December 2009. I have worked in a variety of departments including Fashion, Children and Food. I have for the last 2 years worked in the coffee shop, and have completed by Food and Safety Level 2. I am involved in all areas of the coffee shop including the preparation of hot food, baking and also providing first class customer service to the customers. My current role is to take notes for students both in lectures and also tutorials over a wide variety of subjects and deliver the notes to them in a format that meets their needs.

Ran project to produce tax packs for clients, liaised with a number of internal and external stakeholders. Project achieved on time and under budget. I had delivered this project in 08 and Barclays requested me to return to do so for 09. I updated the procedures I had written in 08 and streamlined and improved the project going forward.

I worked for Bill and Lesley Evans both over the period shown and also Nov 08 - Jan 09, assisting them with Conferences they were organising and running, at all 3 conferences both Ministers from Scottish and Westminster Government were in attendance as well as other high profile industry speakers.

I worked on a number of projects for Huntswood who were outsourcing company operating within the Financial Services sector. I managed a number of different teams my largest had 15 members within it.
