BNZ are leaders in the banking sector in health and safety having successfully attained tertiary status in the ACC Partnership Programme for the past 8 years. BNZ are an innovative company with an excellent culture therefore is keen to innovate in the wellness area.Lead the national health, safety and wellness strategy, including early intervention for musculoskeletal issues for the Bank of New Zealand ensuring compliance with legislation and the ACC audit requirements.Business Lead for the Health and Safety Reform Project to transform business processes, training and behaviour bank-wide.Lead the health and safety element of a year long building project following the Wellington earthquake in 2012 where 1400 staff members were displaced due to earthquake damage and rebuild requirements. This involved frequently working on this construction site, agile project management, liaising with contractors, engineers, senior leadership and executives on all health and safety matters. A huge complication during this rebuilding project was the imminent implementation of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 so all risk assessments, audits and safe operating procedures were deliberately developed to the new legislation and all work was presented and assessed by external lawyers to ensure we were going to be compliant.Lead the health and safety element of the Seismic Improvement Programme.
