I developed a survey to collect rates of locally procured food in Edmonton with Dr. Mary Beckie in the Faculty of Extension and Dr. Brent Swallow in the Department of Resource Economics & Environmental Sociology. I am interviewing procurement institutions to examine barriers to procuring local food, perceptions of local food within the industry, and drivers of behaviour. I will compile a report detailing my results as well as laying groundwork for repeated sampling in later years in order to observe trends in local food procurement within the city.
