I was fortunate to establish my own ladies and gents salon before taking time-out touring the globe for 2 years whilst working as a Hair Stylist on various cruise ships. Having found I had developed a natural aptitude for ‘sales’ I decided to venture into merchandising for leading home furnishing, textile and interior design outlets before then moving for further sales experience in the direction of magazine and newspaper advertising. My network of contacts then led me into ‘property’ where, for a period of 4 years, I developed and honed my management skills to ensure I was well positioned to deal with all aspects of property rentals, sales and the associated administration which burdens any such business outlets.Throughout this entire period I never lost my passion for ‘hair’ and it became my ultimate goal to enhance my skills base by securing a teacher training qualification courtesy of Stockton Riverside College, a course I was fortunate to complete successfully in 2010. I have 37 years retail experience most of which has been focused within the hairdressing industry With an effective understanding of ‘people’ motivation and development. As a mature and highly successful team member and leader I found myself looking for a new fresh challenge which would utilise and further extend my proven skills and experience. I have recently become a new team member working with An Amazing Global Family Owned Company, Keune Hair Cosmetics in the UK covering the North East of England. We supply salons and Colleges with an incredible range of Colour and Products along with endless Support, Education, knowledge and Opportunities within the Hairdressing industry.
