Leading LATAM teams in the areas of plan variety protection (IP-PVP), hybrid and biotech seed registration, regulatory and industry affairs, stewardship & compliance and strengthening critical business relationship with key external stakeholders within Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay. ► Key Achievements:• Meeting regulatory and registration requirements to freely commercialize our products on local and global markets, exceeding the time-related expectations for commercial launch.• Defined LATAM commercial business unit priorities and developed first external affairs plan and strategies to accomplish the defined goals.• Maintained full freedom to trade grain within LATAM, obtaining import authorizations for GMO traits.• Designed and implemented an outreach strategic plan to expand research operations at key facilities in Mexico in order to provide support to global operations. • Represent company interest in several industry organizations, such as Crop Life International, Seed Association on Americas, National Council of Agriculture Mexico, among others.

IICA´s purposes are to encourage, promote, and support the efforts of the American Member States to achieve their agricultural development and rural welfare.Main responsibility was providing technical and regulatory assistance to develop and implement biosafety regulatory frameworks to IICA developing countries, as part of the efforts to achieve agricultural development and well-being trough Biosafety International Regulation compliance. ► Key Achievements:• Provided guidance to some Central American countries (Bolivia, Ecuador, Honduras and Peru) in relation to Biosafety Protocol implementation and compliance.• Collaboration with the Mexican Secretary of Agriculture to implement and enforce the confined use biosafety regulation for genetically modified mosquitoes.

CIBIOGEM has the aim of formulating and coordinating the policies of the Mexican Government relative to the biosafety of genetically modified organisms. Integrated by the heads of the Ministries of Health; Agriculture; Environment; Economy; Education; Science and Technology and Finance.Responsible for coordination of inter-secretarial and multidisciplinary groups to develop Mexican official government positions regarding biotech and biosafety, task that demanded constant coordination with representatives of the member agencies from top political levels to technical and legal teams.► Key Achievements:• Developed the first CIBIOGEM program of work.• Reached internal consensus and alignment among the member agencies to develop Mexican Position for COP-MOP 5 meeting at Nagoya, Japan (October 11th - 15th 2010).• Coordinated the entire process of development and official publication of the national regulation Notice of genetically modified organisms confined use activities.

Agrobio Mexico is the Association that represented the main ag-biotechnology developer’s companies in Mexico: Bayer, Dow AgroSciences, DuPont-Pioneer, Monsanto and Syngenta.Job responsibilities include, leading and coordinating working groups to develop position and strategies to represent the Agricultural Biotech industry interests at international forums and before the Federal Government, Congress, Academy Embassies and industry along the chain of value.► Key Achievements:• Started CLI operations in Mexico to represent the main ag-biotechnology developer companies: Bayer, Dow AgroSciences, DuPont-Pioneer, Monsanto and Syngenta.• Developed and executed the first work program, position paper, strategies and networking from zero.• Developed and maintained trusted high level relationships and strong network with multiple stakeholders from the government, congress, academy and industry.

Responsible for representing SECOFI in the negotiation and development of the official governmental position for several Multilateral Environmental Agreements with trade implications as part of the United Nations Environmental Program: Kyoto Protocol, Biodiversity Convention, Cartagena Protocol, etc. ► Key Achievements:• Lead the implementation and compliance of NAFTA Environmental Cooperation Agreements, representing SECOFI at several OECD committees as well as developing inputs for top governmental officials to represent Mexico trade position in this forum.• Represented the Secretary as well as the industry position in several international negotiations and successfully accomplished our goals.• Initiated the OECD Sub direction from zero and led many successful negotiations with multidisciplinary teams and governmental agencies to develop the governmental position.
