Midwifery career spanning 26yrs I remain passionate about maternity services and the promotion of safe and effective care. As Lead Professional Midwifery Advocate for ULHT I have the privilege of supporting quality improvements through education and personal action plans with midwives and maternity staff by deploying the A-EQUIP model of clinical supervision. Underpinning this work is the support for staff to continually improve practice through self development. Having set up a Birth Choice Clinic in 2018 as a PMA within our Trust winning the award for research, innovation and service improvement , I have been able to improve pathways of care for women and families working with multidisciplinary groups and service users. I have previously held position of Lead Midwife within the Better Births Programme in Lincolnshire working on models of Midwifery led care. My ambition is to build upon the foundation of our PMA team, grow in strength and number to ensure we can provide equitable support and guidance to all maternity workers and the families we serve.
