For many years I have been working for Stibbe, first in my role as (senior) professional support lawyer corporate law and since 2019 as a senior staff associate at the corporate notarial department of Stibbe. I advise our listed and non-listed clients on a wide range of law but specialise in general corporate law, with a specific focus on corporate governance and ESG. In the beginning of my carreer I worked for 4 years as a lawyer at Hoegen Dijkhof Attorneys.I have a master's in civil law from the University of Amsterdam (2003) and gained my post degree specialist education in corporate and business law, cum laude, from Grotius Academy (2016). I also attended the Stibbe MBA Highlights Programme at INSEAD (2022). I publish and lecture regularly on corporate governance, compliance and ESG topics, such as the rules on the limitation of board positions, the virtual general meeting, the Corporate Governance Code, human rights due diligence, diversity & inclusion and the UBO register. Currently, I teach on the impact of ESG on the corporate governance of companies (CPO course "ESG in het ondernemingsrecht") and on joint ventures at the Grotius Academie.
