My mantra: turn life's challenges into opportunities!Slasher, or: Interpreter & Translator / Holiday home host / Relocation consultant / Member of the European Research Consortium on Phelan McDermid SyndromeThree words to describe me: Multilingual, Multicultural & Multitasking With an educational background split between six different countries, I have been passionate about languages since I was very young. Having become multilingual, I can switch very naturally from one language to another (Italian, French, German, Spanish and English). I love to communicate and interact with people from different cultures. I also like to break down language barriers and build bridges between people of different backgrounds.Having to cope with a situation of disability in my family, I became very involved in community work, and then in research and international cooperation projects concerning a rare genetic disease. As a member of the European Consortium for Phelan McDermid Syndrome Research since 2021, I actively participated in the drafting of a medical article on new guidelines for this syndrome, which was published in 2023 in the European Journal of Genetic Medicine. Since 2014 I have also been developing a host activity of a holiday flat, using my interpersonal skills, my passion for hospitality and my language skills to develop a network of international clients.I am proud to have embraced life's challenges by turning them into opportunities to bounce back - and I am determined to continue on this road for present and future challenges!
