I have 30 years’ experience working with communities in education, Local Government, the Not-For-Profit sector and State Government. I held a variety of Community Development roles in Local Government for 15 years, working with the community to facilitate connections and build capacity while developing a love for grass-roots engagement and social impact outcomes measurement. I managed the Results Based Accountability program at Community Centres SA before taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer of Together SA, an organisation devoted to the mobilisation of whole communities to tackle complex social problems. After managing my own consultancy business I joined the Community and Social Investment directorate at the Department of Human Services as Manager of Community Connections, a new program which builds connections between service systems to connect socially isolated people to their communities and the support services they need. I am currently the Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator of the new Graduate Certificate in Social Impact at the SA Centre For Social Impact based at Flinders University, a role that leverages my career-long learning and my deep commitment to social justice.
