Being the first PHI certified Passive House Designer and first PHI Passive House Tradesperson in Canada she has been pioneering the PH standard transferring European knowhow and German engineering to North America for the past 10 years.With her PHI certifications and project experience in Canada and Germany, she brings to North America her knowledge and expertise in the PHI design, build and certifying process for residential, institutional and commercial buildings. A Architect and tradesperson from Germany she applies the unique rigors of design theory and construction methods to her projects.Based in Vancouver, her practice included institutional + multi-residential PH projects, a multi-residential PH prototype for Metro Vancouver, a 6-storey vertical urban farm, educating and promoting the Passive House standard as an instructor for the Bristish Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and Passivehouse Canada and as guest lecturer at the University of British Columbia (UBC).As a founding director of Passivehouse Canada Sandra served on the board of directors until the arrival of her daughter in fall 2014.She accepted a position as a Project Manager/Passive House Designer at Cornerstone Architecture in March 2017.Architect AIBC since September 2018. www.rphd.ca
