Main duties: converting journal articles, books, official and legal documents, films, poetry, and short stories from Portuguese into English or from English into Portuguese, with a view to keeping the tone, style, and meaning of the author’s work. Whenever possible, I work closely with authors to capture the intended meaning as well as the literary and cultural characteristics of original texts. As an interpreter: working at conferences, meetings and accompanying foreign visitors in Brazil to ensure that they are able to communicate efficiently during their stay and business negotiations. As English teacher, teaching this foreign language since 1994, privately and at various language schools, to Portuguese speakers of all ages, backgrounds and levels of difficulties, meeting different demands and expectations.

Main duties: translating audit, tax and legal reports, proposals, contracts, financial statements, summary review memorandums, etc. from Portuguese/ English/ Portuguese. As an interpreter: working at conferences, meetings, workshops, training courses and accompanying foreign visitors in Brazil to ensure efficient communication during their stay.

Main duties: keeping records of all office expenditure, issuing cheques, calculating the monthly balance and balancing the petty cash, making material purchases for the field office in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, organizing the respective shipping and all bureaucratic and customs clearance documentation. Assisting the London Representative whenever required (answering phone calls, taking messages, booking hotels, flights, restaurants, medical appointments, etc).

Main duties: keeping records of and typing all court summons, keeping track of debtors on behalf of clients, writing debt collection letters, keeping records of all office expenditure, issuing cheques, calculating the monthly balance and balancing the petty cash.
