Research interests include immigration policy, education policy, international student transitions and international student mobility and migration.

The Director of Global Engagement provides leadership and operational management for Douglas College’s internationalization goals. The Director is responsible for Global Competency Certificate Program, study abroad, international projects and programs, and assists the VPIESP with inter-institutional partnerships. As part of the leadership team, the incumbent is the champion for innovation and creativity with respect to identifying and developing new strategies and opportunities to successfully engage departments, faculty, and domestic as well as international students in all phases of the international teaching or learning experience.The Director works closely with Deans and Directors at Douglas College, and international partner institutions and organizations to advance the growth and quality of international engagement at the College.

A senior university administrator with over 20 years of progressive experience in all aspects of international education, research administration, strategic planning, and project management. Successful track record in developing and implementing institutional goals and supporting and expanding the international and research interests of academic units at Canadian universities.
