Responsible for the organization’s development and day to day operation in accordance to the organizational by-laws and policies. Provide supervision and oversight to staff and volunteer recruitment; program development; financial and budget management; fundraising and resource management; and community leadership to including public image development. Provide training and support to youth involved in the juvenile justice system through a peer teen court model of prevention and intervention. Develop curriculum on anger management, communication and conflict resolution skills. Creator of “Girls Empowered” a prevention program for middle and high schools aimed to improve self-esteem, teach social skills and prevent entrance into the juvenile justice and/or mental health service systems.Cetified Mediator and Anger Management Specialist

Provide oversight to the National office and more than 150 statewide and local Federation Chapters across the country under the direction of a national Board of Directors. Work collaboratively with other national children’s mental health organizations, national child serving systems, the Federal Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) under the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAHMSA). Manage budgets ranging from $25,000 to 3.5 Million. Provide vision and leadership to the national organization, staff management, fundraising and program development. Provide keynote and workshop presentations at national conferences as we as conduct training, webinars and on-site training.Other duties include:• Work in partnership with national management teams, national leadership teams, state and local chapters to develop and implement the National Federation’s policy priorities• Provide creative vision and strong leadership in developing and implementing innovative programs and strategies that reflect the mission of the National Federation, while setting programmatic priorities that are consistent with the overall strategic plan; ensure that new programs complement the organization’s mission and are economically viable• Provide direction on grassroots organizing; create linkages with the federal government, organizations and coalitions in order to strengthen the national family movement• Oversee fiscal and administrative procedures to assure fiscally sound programs and accounting systems; prepare annual budget; supervise the preparation of financial reports; and lead fundraising and donor recruitment initiatives • Provide training, consultation and technical assistance to states and communities who receive federal funding to develop community based children’s systems of care aimed to provide comprehensive, services and supports to children, youth and families in need of mental health treatment
