Working as a private chef to the rich and famous for more than a decade gave founder, Sandra Tierney had the opportunity to work in many different kitchens.She found that the majority of the kitchens were designed for looks rather than function. Becoming increasingly frustrated with her work environments, she decided to design kitchens that not just looked good but were functional, easy and friendly to work in.For the past 12 years the Cabinets By Design team have been designing kitchens and baths and selling quality cabinetry. Ms. Tierney teaches cabinet design, mentors new designers and is on the advisory board for Palomar Colleges’ department of interior design.She obtained her certification through the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) in 2001 and served on the San Diego Chapter Board of Directors for many years. The Cabinets By Design team continually keeps up with the latest products and trends that fuels their passion to exceed your expectations.Sandra is passionate about cooking and passionate about the details of kitchen design from concept to completion. This love of cooking and design details carries over into the concern for quality installation and construction of the kitchen remodels that Cabinets by Design delivers to clients.
