In my role I provide professional, comprehensive, and commercially focused legal advice and legal services to the RACQ Group regarding commercial legal matters relating to RACQ and their related entities. This includes working across each of the RACQ Group business lines - Insurance, Banking and Assistance.Day to day includes providing advice on issues that arise throughout the life cycle of a contract (services agreement, NDAs, contractor agreements, offers to lease, repairer agreements, licences, sponsorship, statements of work).- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of contracts.- Reviewing technology agreements including SaaS and Master Consultancy Agreements. - Reviewing and approving marketing material with consideration to regulatory requirements. - Advising on privacy, competition and IP protection issues.- Drafting correspondence including breach notices, cease and desist letters.

- Worked directly with the Chief Legal Officer to provide advice in relation to all business needs and legal compliance within the business in multiple state jurisdictions (QLD, NSW, WA).- Implemented and facilitated franchise documentation process in accordance with the Franchising Code of Conduct.- Reviewed and completed initial drafting of franchise agreements, supply agreements, confidentiality agreements, licenses and property documents such as leases, agreements for lease, lessor disclosure statements.- Liaised directly with stakeholders within the business and assisting with their legal needs. - Assisted with general property management for 70 store locations.

- Worked within a progressive area of law where legal technology intersects with project management to deliver results for the internal or external client. - Experience in platforms such as Nuix Discover, KIRA, Relativity, HighQ collaborate and DocuSign. - Involved in projects from global Ashurst network including large scale document review for the corporate and competition teams resulting from notices to produce from government regulatory bodies such as ASIC, APRA, ACCC and the ATO. - Completing conditions precedent due diligence for the property and global loans teams, and preliminary drafting and preparing documents for the real estate teams. - The width of this work involved building relationships and liaising with different people across the organisation in a professional and collaborative manner.
