I have delivered direct patient care in HIV, Hepatitis B & C, other Infectious Diseases, NAFL and NASH, and other areas of Public Health. I’m proficient in Healthcare Technology & Informatics. I’ve served many patients from marginalized populations and underserved communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Practicing as an independent contractor for healthcare and business owner, I hold the titles of CMO and President & CEO of Sandra Win, MD, MS Inc. My practice aims to increase access to quality comprehensive care onsite at clinics, patients’ homes via house visits, and through Telemedicine. Beyond patient care, I’ve had the opportunity to consult on Clinical Trial Design and Conduct, Statistical Analysis of data, and Regulatory Affairs, such as NDAs and BLAs, and passing FDA audits for various healthcare organizations. Moreover, I’ve served as an HIV Expert on Medical Advisory Panels sponsored by biotech companies. For example, in 2020, I was invited by ViiV Healthcare to serve on their Medical Advisory Panel as an HIV Expert.

During my tenure as Medical Director , I had medical oversight of all AHF clinics in the Northern California Region. Provided comprehensive medical care to HIV positive individuals and those at risk for acquiring HIV. Served populations historically marginalized, including people of color, homeless individuals, LGBTQ+ members, and seniors living with HIV. I am proud of having developed a Clinical Research Program for AHF clinics in Northern California. Partnered with biopharmaceutical sponsors on HIV and COVID-19 trials. My clinical sites were awarded 2 large clinical trials: a Phase III HIV treatment trial and a Phase II COVID-19 treatment trial. During my tenure, AHF recognized me for increasing access to cutting-edge treatments for patients, furthering medical science through clinical research, providing comprehensive quality care, being a respected physician leader and compassionate provider, and for partnering with the community.Reason for leaving: Despite my helping to develop and bring for the first time a Clinical Research Program to AHF in Northern California, AHF canceled the Clinical Research Program, bringing an end to all clinical trials in CA. I felt that this compromised patient access to much needed drugs and disproportionately affected marginalized populations and underserved communities.
