I am a lecturer at the Policy, Curriculum and Leadership academic group of National Institute of Education, an institute of Nanyang Technological University. I have teaching and research interests in policies and leadership in early childhood and primary education, professional and leadership development, values education in early childhood and character and citizenship education. I have conducted research on the local pre-school and primary school contexts, as well as early childhood arts education in Melbourne.Prior to joining NIE, I had lecturing and supervisory experience at the National Institute of Education International and the Singapore University of Social Sciences. I transited from the private to the public sector, and had worked in the Ministry of Social and Family development and the Ministry of Education where I served the early childhood sector and was involved in developing national frameworks, training, resources and programme evaluation.Currently I teach preservice student-teachers and graduate students and supervise research students from Bachelor to doctoral level. I am also the programme leader for the Master of Arts (Educational Management) programme under my academic group.
