I produce reports, issue Notices for non-compliance this will range from a Notice of Deficencies, Enforcement Notice, Prohibition Notice and Alteration Notice. I am the lead licensing officer for my team. I liaise with the local council on fire safety deficiencies in licence premises. As a lead investigator I carry out investigations into non-compliance of an Enforcement Notice and Prohibition Notice. Where a fire occurs on a premises that results in a fatality or where members of the public have been rescued by the Brigade. I conduct investigations to determine if any fire safety offence may have been committed under the Fire a Safety Order. I gather evidence, prepare witness statements, carry out searches on companies and individuals, interviewing under caution and preparing cases for prosecution. I am also a designated disclosure officer. I am a Fire Engineering Liaison Office (FELO) having completed a course in the Principles of Fire Engineering. My role is to review all fire engineering consultations within the team. Assist members of my team to ensure the general fire precautions have been addressed in addition to any fire engineering comments. Vet the work before it is submitted to the fire engineering team for their observation.As deputy team leader I allocated work to my team, balancing work load in line with team and area plans. Distribution of priority work load on a day to day basis. Managing peaks in demand lead work with the team leader. I am currently seconded to the Policy Team from 05/09/16, my role is to support, coach and develop teams, individuals, new inspecting officers and team leaders starting in Fire Safety reach and maintain a level of competency in regulatory fire safety. New inspecting officer will spend 6 weeks being inducted. They will be given tools to help them work towards becoming competent inspecting officers. Manage conflict, enforcement, consultations with building control and approved inspectors, understanding the principles of a fire risk assessment, lone working, managing diary etc. I will be supporting the Fire Safety Officers through their development folder and achieving the FPA Level 3 Certificate and Level 4 Certificate/Diploma - Inspector. I design courses and one off interventions, facilitate seminars and workshops.
