Developed high-level strategies to inform Army modernization processes.• Led the production and development of an application to digitize an assessment process currently conducted via editing PowerPoint. • Wrote three high-level strategies to create transparent and repeatable business processes for the Directorate of Integration (DoI), a new Army Futures Command directorate. These strategies will ensure DoI: reaches full operational capacity by Aug 2024; can shepherd modernization efforts from conceptualization to material development; improves the management of a named effort.

Led three technical data science teams conducting separate studies to inform senior Army executive decisions. Model Development• Completed all of the data cleaning, pre-processing, and statistical analysis in Python for an Army-wide, legal staffing project and also served as Certified Scrum Master (CSM); validated major restructuring for staffing active-duty legal offices. • Developed the model logic for a stochastic discrete event simulation in Python forecasting 10K soldiers over seven-years; initially served as CSM then transitioned to Certified Product Owner (CPO), led analysts across three divisions; this capability is entirely new to the Army personnel management community.Technical Leadership• Coordinated two teams as CSM in county-level SEIR-model development/implementation of COVID-19 analysis to inform senior Army executive response at individual installations; earned Dr. Wilbur B. Payne Memorial Award for Excellence in Analysis. • Led all study teams using Scrum, each project concluded in half the time (six months rather than one year); division-wide adoption of Scrum reduced overall project completion time by 50% and improved requirements gathering/communication with customers.

Led a 10-personal, multi-national data science team creating intelligence analysis and support tools for a 26-partner nation taskforce.Technical Leadership/Requirements Development• Served as CPO to facilitate development of a facial recognition application for Middle Eastern faces using open-source facial recognition tools. Developed and executed a plan to increase tool capability by integrating with an existing threat database; the enhanced facial recognition capability was selected for further refinement and development for enterprise use across SOCOM.Strategic Process Improvement• Refined and developed governance to facilitate tool development and deployment across four classified networks; these documents will improve the ability of all technical teams to create, document, and distribute tools across the entirety of SOCOM.

Develop analytic studies to inform senior Confluent leader operations decisions.Model Development• Completed all of the data cleaning, pre-processing, and statistical analysis in Python and SQL to analyze the relationship between how customers use Confluent services with contract size and length. Served as a foundation for a more robust customer health model.• Developing a customer health study plan to identify requirements, create a data strategy, and produce a model describing the quality of the relationship between the customer and Confluent. This study plan will inform internal business processes. This work is on-going.

Led an 8-person data science team to create a global monitoring tool for a high visibility threat group where none previously existed.Model Development• Selected classification methodology (k-nearest neighbors and decision trees) and developed model logic in Python, also served as CPO and CSM to launch cloud backend application; additionally, coordinated with software engineers and UI/UX designer to develop the frontend.Strategic Process Improvement• Created a method to modernize the approval processes to publish intelligence analysis of non-human readable data where none existed; this work helped to ensure the success of subsequent data science teams and follow-on ADT Leads.

Developed curriculum and technology innovations.• Taught Integral Calculus and Probability & Statistics) to 100 students and introduced Python and R to students for data analysis.• Data Scientist and Project Management Professional (PMP) on research projects improving the energy efficiency of cadet barracks and created a meta-model of terrain modeling applications used by the Army Corps of Engineers; models fully adopted by customer.

Assistant Intelligence Officer for the largest aviation squadron in the US Army. Deployed with the unit to Northern Iraq for 15 months (2007-2008). Led a 3-person intelligence section and coordinated intelligence for all of Western Iraq; earned Superior Army Unit Award.
