As the Director of Sydney Executive Plus and Associate Professor at the University of Sydney Business School, I spend my time thinking about the future, researching the future, consulting on the future, and speaking about the future.I lead executive and leadership development in cutting edge areas of business, society, and technology—with a focus on AI. Together with my colleague Kai Riemer, and our team of superstar innovators, I work at Sydney Executive Plus to reimagine how we upskill leaders, executives and professionals—so they can learn the skills they’ll need to lead through a decade of disorientation. So far, we’ve helped upskill more than 1,000 people across 20+ industries in AI Fluency. And we've overseen the development of sprints in critical areas ranging from Geopolitics and Business to Net Zero (with plenty more to come). My research focuses are: engaging with the future in productive ways, and the impact of emerging technologies (including AI) on business and society. Most recently, I co-authored The 2025 Skills Horizon, a new, annual, global initiative that brings these focuses together. It explores what leaders need to know next and features insights from conversations with dozens of executives and leaders—from heads of government to head chefs—about our changing world. Previously, I’ve led strategic initiatives and worked on executive programs with business, research organisations, Government and Defence. I’ve published in leading business journals and worked on an array of educational research initiatives and programs, including with UNESCO and the Department of Education. I’m also a regular contributor to national and international media—be it commentary, interviews or research.
