I am a Learning & Development Consultant specialising in vocational skills programme design, development, management, delivery, assessment and quality assurance. I am passionate about delivering high quality learning experiences for Post 16, Adult learners and or professionals. I possess a strong and broad range of expertise in the design, delivery and quality assurance of work based learning programmes with a focus on helping learners to develop childcare, business administration, team leader, management and employability skills. Very entrepreneurial - I started and ran my own CACHE accredited training centre for 14 years prior to that spent 7 years advising individuals to start up their own businesses. I am very good at firefighting when required, problem solving and programme management. I possess direct sector expertise in training new and experienced childcare professionals; as well providing consultancy and business enterprise support to a range of businesses. I am a great fan of creative approaches to and the use of technology in learning, and am known for my high standards and quality of assessment. Recently at Pearson I worked on the BT Future Leaders programme, supporting a cohort of 40 aspiring British Telecom (BT) managers based in the UK, USA, Peru, South Africa and Malaysia. The programme involved the delivery of educational support to complete the Team Leading/Supervisor Standards. Teaching and assessing to very tight deadlines, delivering virtual and face to face learning sessions and design of course materials.
